Each year we award five Scholarships to deserving students. We believe this rewards the chosen student for the way they have carried themselves throughout the year. You do not have to be the best, you just have to love what you do and always give 100%. In 2008 we established the Studio Spirit Award, which goes to a student who represents the studio in an outstanding manner. More information on each scholarship is outlined below.

Studio Superstar
The Studio Superstar Scholarship is our biggest award. It is given to a student who excels in all forms of dance throughout the year. Although the dancing component is considered, more important than the dancing however is the way students handle themselves at the studio every day. The recipient is someone that the younger students of the studio look up to, someone the teachers can rely on to always work hard in class, and they tend to be someone that the audience at our End of Year Concert cant help take note of.

Junior Classical Scholarship
We take Ballet at the Hills Dance Factory very seriously. Children need Classical training for the base of all their dance training. It improves ones posture, co-ordination, flexibility, agility and fitness. As such we award a Junior Classical Ballet Scholarship to a student that excels in class, is always well presented, does well in the Ballet Exams and who loves Ballet.

Studio Most Improved
The Most Improved scholarship is given to a student who excels in all forms of dance throughout the year. As is the case with all of the scholarships, the dancing component is always considered, but more important than the dancing however is the way students handle themselves at the studio every day. They are always in uniform & presented well, they are someone the teachers can rely on to always work hard in class, and they tend to be someone that the audience at our End of Year Concert cant help take note of.

Senior Classical Scholarship

Studio Spirit Award
Kylie Cooper was a very special friend of the studio and is someone that we will not forget. To ensure this we set up the Studio Spirit Award in 2008. This award is given to a student who like Kylie used to, lights up the studio as soon as they walk through the door. It is given to the student who quite simply loves to dance and inspires all of those around them.
